Dreamland, which is based in Margate, revealed in December that it had debts of £2.9million following a summer of transport problems.

It agreed a five-year deal to pay back its creditors, and is trying to raise £500,000 by selling off some of its items.

Among those items are a log flume, originally bought in Bulgaria, and pizza and ice cream vans (which, of course, are exactly the sort of things most people are after.)

‘The Dreamland Trust has agreed to the sale of the items donated to the project,’ Nick Laister told Kent Online.

‘The transport of these items were funded by our grant, we have agreed with Sands Heritage Limited that any money raised from the sale of these items will be ring fenced and donated to The Dreamland Trust for community and education initiatives.’

Dreamland said some of the non-functioning items were donated to Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Blackpool Council.
