Speculation has long raged over the Nazi dictator’s private parts but previously unseen medical records from 1923 have finally set the record straight.
Not only did Hitler have only one testicle, as previously believed, historians have also revealed the dictator’s manhood may have been more mutant than first thought.
Records show the Fuhrer had a related condition called Hypospadias – which can leave a man with a “micro-penis”.
The sufferer may have to wee out of a hole at the base or shaft rather than a tip.
As first reported in The Daily Star, the embarrassing condition may be able to explain both his rage and why Hitler had no children, although medical experts say the condition does not impact on a sufferer’s sex life.
In the new book Hitler”s Last Day: Minute by Minute, historians Jonathan Mayo and Emma Craigie state the German leader harboured a dark secret.
They write: “Hitler himself is believed to have had two forms of genital abnormality: an undescended testicle and a rare condition called penile hypospadius in which the urethra opens on the under side of the penis.”
The latest shock revelations may go some way to explaining why Hitler demanded that everyone gave him a peculiar phallic salute.
His personal doctor Theodor Morell used to give Hitler hormones, amphetamines and sometimes cocaine to try to boost the Fuhrer”s low sex drive so he could be intimate with his partner Eva Braun. Dr Morell, a qualified urologist, is also said to have recorded his penis deformity.
As the Russians closed in on his bunker in Berlin in Spring 1945, those still in the underground lair witnessed Hitler”s intense anxiety that his body would be captured and put on display in Moscow.
It is thought he either killed himself with cyanide provided by Dr Morell – or fled to South America via the Canary Islands. Friends of Hitler also noticed he was not into sex with his mistress.
Nazi architect, Albert Speer, who was tasked with designing his leader massive buildings, said after the war that it was very noticeable.
He said: “By no means would I describe Adolf Hitler as sexually normal in his relationships with women. “In the case of Eva Braun in particular, it seems clear to me that aside from occasional passionate episodes there was no sexual activity at all for long periods of time.”
The findings dispute the long-held theory that the Nazi dictator lost a ball in a shrapnel injury during the First World War.
The records confirm there was an element of truth to the popular rhyme sung by British soldiers and generations of schoolchildren.
Written in 1939 for the British Council, the propaganda song’s lyrics to the tune of Colonel Bogey March mock the Nazi leaders, saying: “Hitler has only got one ball, Goring has two but very small, Himmler has something similar but poor old Goebbels has no balls at all.”
