Vladimir Putin will “easily ANNIHILATE” the West as NATO “faces collapse”

War looms between the two superpowers in the Middle East as senior politicians warned Syria”s civil war could erupt into “global war”.

Russia has been accused by the US of “war crimes” as the two totally cut off military communication in the region as a new Iron Curtain falls on a new Cold War.

But experts have warned Russia has the power to “annihilate” US forces in the region and trigger the total break down of the half-century old North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.

Dr Roberts wrote for the Centre for Research on Globalization: “If Russia actually annihilated the Turkish and US force, which Russia could easily do, NATO would collapse, because no European country wants to be destroyed in World War 3.”

He boasted the nuclear power of Putin’s resurgent Russia which is outstripping the US after “decades of weakness”.

However, he added “the Russians won’t fight until war is absolutely and totally forced upon them”.

Dr Roberts condemned US foreign policy in the region and accused the Pentagon of supporting ISIS.

The White House has been criticised as they reportedly allowed death cult jihadis “free passage” out of Mosul and after US jets bombed and killed at least 62 Syrian soldiers allowing ISIS to take a key military location.

He wrote Russia could have decisively won the war Syria, explaining “Russia had a victory for Syria and democracy in its hands, but Putin lacked the decisiveness of a Napoleon or a Stalin and let his victory slip away as a result of false hopes that Washington could be trusted”.

War drums are beating as Russia announced plans to reopen Cold War bases and deployed nuke bomber patrols to sweep the borders of the US.

Meanwhile, US defence chiefs said Putin could be plotting a “terrible attack” on the a NATO nation while the Pentagon announced it was bolstering its nuclear arsenal with 400 new ICBMs.

Russia has been warned to have ability to invade “within hours” to have the military power to attack “overnight”.
