Bizarre moment footie BALL BOY gets sent off for ‘disrupting field of play’

South African sides Kaizer Chiefs and Cape Town were locked at 1-1 in the match, as the latter tried desperately to look for a winner.

The clip shows a dangerous cross fizzing across the box, but no Cape Town players were able to connect.

As the ball looks like it will go out of play, the young ball boy throws in another one.

But – unfortunately for him – a Cape Town player managed to keep the original one in play by the corner flag.

The referee – Victor Gomes – blows up and stops play to remove one of the balls, putting an end to the visitors’ attack.

Gomes decides that the ball boy had disrupted play on purpose, in an attempt to prevent Cape Town scoring.

But the youngster’s look across his face appears to suggest it was a complete accident.

He walks off mortified at his mistake and into the stands as the entire ground watch him being relieved of his duties.

It comes after fans tuning into Monday Night Football were left shocked when they spotted a “ghost” ball boy with “no face”.

And a goalkeeper was booked after launching a ball at a “time-wasting” ball boy’s face.
