Few people liked to get high quite as much as legendary journalist Hunter S Thompson, author of the weed- and LSD-drenched Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
And now you can get high just like Hunter (well, minus all the coke, blotter acid, uppers, downers, screamers, laughers and the pint of raw ether).
The ‘gonzo’ journalist’s widow – who married him in 2003, two years before his suicide – hopes to extract DNA from his personal weed stash, clone it and sell it.
Thompson lived in Colorado – where weed is now legal.
Anita Thomspson said, ‘I am in the process of making the strains available to those who would like to enjoy the authentic Gonzo strains in legal states
‘I am looking forward to making the authentic strains available in legal states to support the farm and the scholarships.’
Thompson told the Aspen Times that the proceeds would go towards turning Thompson’s farm into a museum and writer’s retreat.
