The pair came to blows on stage during a face-off that required the intervention of a legion of bouncers.

And in the aftermath, Haye gave an interview to Sky Sports News in which he referred to the Scouse fighter in less than complimentary terms.

“What’s your message to Tony Bellew?” he was asked by a giddy presenter, pointing him in the direction of the camera.

“Tony Bellew. You’re a bellend. You’re getting knocked out,” the former heavyweight champion stated flatly.

But his declaration caused chaos for the television crew, who snatched the microphone back before making a series of flustered apologies.

Fans on Twitter were loving the hilarious incident.

“The presenter’s reaction is funny, absolutely s**** himself!” wrote one user.

Another tweet read: “Haha! Thought the presenter was gonna slap him!

“Is bellend even a swear word? I’m gonna try it out at work and see what happens.”

Tickets sold out in record time for the mouth-watering heavyweight clash at London’s O2 Arena in March.

And The Bomber already has his sights set on the rest of the heavyweight division after predicting victory against the 36-year-old.

“Tony’s telling me he’s gonna absolutely spark David Haye, then he wants Joshua, Klitschko, Fury, all of them at heavyweight,” promoter Eddie Hearn said.
