Equestrian champion and the Queen’s granddaughter, Zara and her husband, former England rugby player Tindall are said to be thrilled with the news.
The couple already have a daughter Mia, who is nearly three.
The new baby, due around late spring, will be the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh”s sixth great-grandchild.
The couple”s spokeswoman said: “Mike and Zara are expecting another baby”.
The baby will be a second cousin to Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who call their great-grandmother the Queen “Gan Gan”. Zara is also one of George”s godmothers.
Tindall once revealed George”s first meeting with Mia when she was a baby was “carnage”, with most of George”s food going on the table rather than in his mouth.
Zara, whose mother is the Queen”s only daughter Princess Anne and father is Captain Mark Phillips, married Mike Tindall in 2011 and they had Mia in January 2014 at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.
The 35-year-old”s latest edition will be 18th in line to the throne.
Earlier this year, Mia was pictured holding the Queen”s famous black handbag when the monarch posed for an Annie Leibovitz photograph with her great-grandchildren to mark her 90th birthday.
The family live on the Princess Royal”s Gatcombe Park country estate in Gloucestershire after meeting during England”s Rugy World Cup-winning campaign in Australia in 2003.
Buckingham Palace said the Queen and the Royal Family were delighted by Zara”s pregnancy.
A spokesman, said:”The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh and members of the Royal Family are delighted with the news.”
Zara has followed in the footsteps of both her parents with her love of horses and won silver in the London 2012 Olympics during the team event, where their medals were presented by her mother.
Zara missed out on the Rio Olympics this year after she failed to make the British Equestrian Federation”s nominated rider list.
This is a breaking story.
