Donald Trump has denied allegations he hired prostitutes to urinate on a bed the Obamas once slept in, saying he is a ‘germaphobe’.

Giving his first formal press conference since winning the election, he said allegations he had deep ties to Russia were ‘fake news’, ‘phony stuff’ and a ‘disgrace’.

He said ‘sick people’ put the dossier together to damage him.

Published by BuzzFeed, the unverified allegations were said to based on memos from a former British spy, who worked for an organisation opposed to Trump in Washington DC.

They said he had been in touch with the Kremlin for years, and that Putin had compromising material on him including the video of him watching the alleged golden shower at a bugged Moscow hotel room.

But Trump said he was always careful of spy cameras in hotel rooms, and added: ‘I’m also very much of a germaphobe, by the way.’

‘I’m surrounded by bodyguards..,’ he said. ‘I always tell them, be very careful, because … in those rooms you have cameras in the strangest places… you can’t see them and you won’t know. You better be careful or you will be watching yourself on nightly television.’

He described the document as an ‘absolute disgrace’ which should never have been published.

And he suggested that intelligence agencies could be responsible for the release of a dossier, which alleged that Russia holds compromising information about him, including a video of him watching prostitutes urinate on a bed the Obamas once slept in.

‘If [Russia] had something, they would have released it,’ he claimed.

The President-elect initially dismissed the reports as ‘fake news’, the Kremlin insisted they had no material on Trump and people on 4Chan claimed they invented the entire thing.

Before introducing Trump, incoming press secretary Sean Spicer said the stories were ‘a sad, pathetic attempt to get clicks.’

‘This political witchhunt by some of the media.. is frankly shameful and disgraceful,’ he said.

We will update this story as the conference goes on.
